Meet Your Hostess
Lynda Powers
My love of nature began at a young age. I grew up camping with my family and exploring hiking trails and natural areas.
While working in an Avian and Exotic Specialty Hospital, one of my duties was to care for injured and displaced wildlife. From a Pied Billed Grebe in my tub to hummingbirds learning to fly around my apartment a passion for birds was sparked.
I volunteered at Buena Vista Audubon Nature Center in Oceanside, CA and also at The Audubon Kern River Preserve Nature Center in Weldon, CA. When my Husband and I relocated to Sierra Vista, AZ in late 2019 I began volunteering at Ash Canyon Bird Sanctuary. I loved meeting guests from all over the world and learning about our local birds. This inspired my dream of creating a birder friendly vacation home and Bird Quest Manor was born.
My goal is to ensure all our guests have a pleasant stay. I love hearing that someone has seen a life bird in our yard and hitting the trails with them to find an Arizona specialty.
